Lisa’s civil litigation practice includes litigation and appeals in the Alaska State Courts and the Federal Courts. She represents clients in complex litigation, including wrongful death, personal injury, medical negligence, real estate, business, and contract actions.
Lisa has also participated in numerous appeals in both the State and Federal Courts. She has successfully briefed and argued significant appeals in Alaska, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Her notable appellate victories include:
- Estate of Milos v. Quality Asphalt Paving, Inc., 145 P.3d 533 (Alaska 2006). Alaska Supreme Court reversed summary judgment for the employer, finding a genuine issue of material fact as to whether the deceased employee was off-shift at the time of the fatal incident.
Lisa is an active member of the American Association for Justice, the Alaska Association for Justice, the Alaska Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the Anchorage Association of Women Lawyers.
Hiking, running, and exploring Alaska with her family, friends, and a small but high-spirited dog, are Lisa’s favorite personal pursuits.
